“Merely me” is a mother, a writer and a staunch MS patient advocate. I have had the good fortune of getting to know her recently. She has an amazing drive and feels strongly about issues related to multiple sclerosis. She recently interviewed me.

what a wonderful initiative for the online MS community.
I am currently conducting a study that researches the online MS community in the US and Europe. I have interviewed many patient bloggers and communities for this study and found that there is often a disconnect between the community and the health care professionals.

Thank you for writing in. I personally have a healthy dose of skepticism when it comes to touting the benefits of stem cells for all the diseases that you list. The science is still in its infancy and there is much to be learned. Stem cell therapy though does have tremendous potential for the ultimate cure of many presently incurable neurodegenerative conditions.
I would advise my readers to be wary, to research the organization offering these therapies before committing your time and money to this.
